1、二十世紀八十年代，翻譯學家圖里提出了翻譯規(guī)范理論，包含預備規(guī)范、首要規(guī)范及操作規(guī)范。這三種規(guī)范分別作用于翻譯的不同層面，其中預備規(guī)范和首要規(guī)范主要作用于譯本的宏觀層面，操作規(guī)范則作用于譯本的微觀層面。該理論廣泛應用于指導對小說譯本進行對比分析，以期發(fā)現(xiàn)譯者、譯本差異所在。英國作家喬治.奧威爾的小說《1984》在文學界擁有廣泛的影響力和較高的地位，尚未有學者從翻譯規(guī)范角度對這部小說廣為流傳的兩個中譯本-董樂山譯本和孫仲旭譯本進行過對比分析
